Cars and Me - Pet Peeves

Cars - The Bad and the Ugly

Okay, here are my pet peeves:

1. Double Parking
2. Slow and Fast
3. New Car Parking
4. You're Tooo Close
5. Green Light...Go!

1. Double Parking
Okay, when there is an opportunity for four cars to park along a sidewalk, why oh why, is there always that ONE car that takes up TWO spots? Crap!  Not enough space for me to park in front or in back of them!  Crap!
I mean, even when you get out of your car, you can see that there's enough room for you to pull up or reverse. I don't get it.  I've had to park around the block, just because of ONE inconsiderate person! Think about someone else besides yourself!  Consideration, please!

2. Slow and Fast
Oh goodness, why is it that when you try and pass someone going so slow that you could, basically, walk faster than they are driving, that they SUDDENLY speed up? Hey!  Let me by, I might be going somewhere.  And, once you realize you now cannot go around them - and they realize this too - they go back to driving the speed of a slug. Hello, can we, at least, go the speed limit? Be considerate and let me by, please.

3. New Car Parking
Okay, you got a new car, and you don't want anyone to ding it.  I get it! I have an old car, and I don't want any MORE dings.  However, I don't take two parking spots - in the front - because i don't want anyone to park next to me! Argh!
If you're going to take up TWO dang spots, can you park a little further down, maybe at the back of the parking lot?  If you car is so fabulous, I'm sure your car, also has a fabulous alarm system.  You are not gaining any admiration by taking up TWO spots!  Please be considerate!

4. You're Tooo Close
Do you think you can park a little closer to my car?  I mean, I don't mind having to get in my car through my passenger door, and crawling my big butt over the middle panel.  No, it's all good! NOT!
Why do people park so close that you can't get in your car?  You know the space is tight. You know that you had to go forward and back just to get into the space.  Oh, you know that you could NOT open your door, so now, you park so close to me that I cannot even get to my driver door. Come on! You know that you are sooo in the wrong!  Be considerate!

6. Green Light.. GO!
Please do NOT honk your horn at me the second the light turns green. I KNOW it turned green. I see it.  Can you give me a minute to move my foot from the brake to the gas?  I understand that if more than 5 seconds go by, maybe I was not paying attention, but if I can move BEFORE my 5 seconds are up, please do NOT honk your horn.
Sometimes I see something that you do NOT, and I am not going to go, be. cause you are honking at me.  Sometimes, my car may stall, and sometimes, I just need a few more SECONDS to move my foot!  Sometimes, there may be an older driven, who needs a moment to react to a green light. Don't honk!
Believe me, the light stays green for a minute or two, so don't worry!  You will get your turn to go. Be considerate, and give people time to react to the light change.

EXTRA-EXTRA: Long Trucks
Don't quote me, but I think that there should be special parking spots for trucks, especially, those long trucks!  They seem to like to park next to my little compact car. So, when I back up, not only can't I see, but I have to back up, and back up some more, and back up a little more just to clear my car out of the parking spot.  When I back up, I'm almost in the parking spot with the car behind me, across the lane.  BAM!
I try to avoid parking next to these trucks, but they also seem to gravitate to my little car. I can only say - when creating a parking lot - can you engineers be considerate and design a special "Trucks Only" parking space?  Maybe you can create  a bunch of extra wide  "New Car" parking spaces - in the back of the lot, while you're at it!

I'm just talking about a little consideration for others....

Ta-ta my darling-dear,
